Business Development Manager – Life & Pensions

A Dublin based broker now requires a Life & Pensions Business Development Manager.  The purpose of the role is to proactively generate income in the Life & Pensions area from an assigned portfolio of customers and new customer opportunities.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Sales and Activity Management
  • Support the company to achieve its overall financial plan including income and sales targets by maximising business income and product sales through the leveraging of all opportunity both from your portfolio and the local marketplace.
  • Customer Relationships/ Customer Service. Seek out opportunities to create additional value for the customer and the company by developing the most appropriate/pioneering and compliant solutions to meet customers’ underlying needs.  Be proactive, determined and energetic in winning new business with existing and new customers


  • 5/6 years’ experience in a Life & Pensions Business Development role is highly desirable
  • QFA qualification is mandatory
  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills
  • Proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while delivering a professional service to customers
  • Planning and organisational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • High attention to detail with a real passion for getting it right first time
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
