FRS Recruitment Future of Talent Conference

The FRS Recruitment Future of Talent Conference is being held in Croke Park in September this year. The content of our annual event is aimed towards Owners and Senior Managers and is very well attended and the feedback is always positive.  We are extending an invitation to Owners and Managers of Insurance and Financial Brokers and hope you will be able to join us.

Overview of the FRS Recruitment 2024 Employment Insights Report

Since 2009, FRS Recruitment has been diligently gathering data to track the evolving trends and perspectives of Irish employees and employers. This year, we surveyed 1,886 participants between April and May.  The report reveals significant trends and insights in the current Irish Job Market:

Employee Mobility and Salary Expectations:

  • Over half (54%) of employees were headhunted in the past year.
  • 1 in 6 employees would switch jobs for a 10% pay increase, and nearly half (47%) for a 20% rise.
  • A majority of employees (54%) believe job changes are necessary for better wages and career progression.

Employer Concerns:

  • Nearly 60% of employers are worried about the economic outlook.
  • 56% report increased workforce attrition, with 51% noting a decline in candidate suitability.
  • Salary issues are the primary cause of employee turnover, followed by job dissatisfaction and the desire for new challenges.

AI and Cybersecurity:

  • 8 out of 10 employees have used AI at work, with almost half fearing it might replace their jobs.
  • Cybersecurity issues, such as hacking and phishing, affected more than half of employees and numerous organizations.

Housing and Economic Impact:

  • Housing concerns influence career management for 2 out of 3 employees and recruitment strategies for 6 out of 10 employers.
  • Economic uncertainty affects hiring activity, with 58% of employers and 47% of employees expressing job security fears.

Recruitment Preferences:

  • Employees seek transparency in salary information, streamlined application processes, and clear job advertisements.
  • 62% of job seekers avoid applications lacking salary details.
