Open GI – Making Technology Strides

Thu Jan 28 2021

Open GI’s technology commitment to the Irish General Insurance Market

Whilst social media might be purporting the golden ‘rule’ of 2021 – ‘Never talk about 2020!’ – at Open GI we have every reason to dismiss that rule! For despite the challenges of the pandemic, we believe we have continued to make great strides forward in demonstrating our commitment to brokers in the Irish market.

Open GI held Irish User Group and key insurer partner meetings at the beginning of 2020 with Simon Badley, Group CEO, Nick Giddings, Director of Brokers & MGAs, and Robert Fitzsimons, Regional Manager. The aim of these meetings was to really understand how we could increase support to all our partners, and we pledged to put tangible actions behind the outcomes.

We have worked hard on those promises and as a result we have:

  • Brought greater rate parity to Open GI’s Core product.
  • Evaluated and enhanced our approach in how we operate and engage with you.
  • Identified and delivered 11 ‘must-have requirements’, in addition to rolling out 40+ new functionality features to the Core Policy Administration system in our Core 16 upgrades.

But we are not stopping there! With our product roadmap continuing at pace, our commitment to providing a holistic service offering means we have also outlined a range of additional services to deliver to you this year.

You will see more free training available, a programme of useful information webinars, and more regular reviews with us so you get the best use, ideas, and value from your Open GI products.

Please do keep an eye out for announcements on all our upcoming news via our social media channels and email newsletters. Or, if you prefer, please do contact Robert Fitzsimons directly – Robert will be happy to answer any questions directly.
