The III Sept 2023 Online Exams – Are You On Track?

Now that September is around the corner, and the first of our exams is just over a week away, we wanted to check in and ensure you were on track with the Online Exams process.
Outlined below are the steps you need to complete so that you are ready to take your exam online. Still a little unsure of the process? Why not review our recent ‘TestReach Exam Set Up’ information session, which was hosted by our Head of Member Services – Deirdre Morrissey.
Online Exams | Are you set up?
Our Online Exams are delivered in partnership with Irish company, TestReach. At this stage you should have:
• Received your ‘New Account’ email from TestReach and successfully set up your account*.
• If you haven’t received this account set up email – make sure to check your spam, junk, clutter or other incoming folders, to ensure the emails have not gone there. If you are unable to find your TestReach emails, you must contact customersupport@testreach.com, so they can be re-issued.
• After you have set up your account, TestReach will prompt you to confirm your exam time slot. If you haven’t already done so, you must confirm your time slot no later than 5 days before your exam day, to allow you to sit your exam.
Our ‘Getting Set Up’ guide will take you through the process of setting up your TestReach account and confirming your exam slot and can also help answer the most common questions.
Online Exams | Is your Tech Ready?
You’ll want everything to run smoothly on exam day, and our Online Exams ‘Technical Requirements’ guide provides details of how to test your kit and check your system requirements prior to your exam.
Even if you feel your tech is ready, we advise running all checks again 48 hours before you sit your exam to ensure all is in order. This will allow for potential issues such as system or security updates for your laptop that may affect the operation of the TestReach App.
The guide also provides information for your IT Department, showing how the TestReach Desktop App works, and addresses any safety concerns.

Be aware of Exam Regulations
Exam Regulations are the terms and conditions you agree to be bound by when sitting your exam, therefore it’s important that you are aware of them.
These regulations have been updated for online proctored exams. Important guidance has been added on the use of mobile/smart phones and devices, suitable locations to take the exam and dress code.
