Job Specification:

Brokers Ireland is the leading representative body for Insurance Brokers, with a combined strength of 1,200 Insurance and Financial Brokers.

Brokers Ireland wishes to recruit a General Insurance Assistant.

Attributes should include:

  • Certified Insurance Practitioner (or APA as a minimum)
  • Eager to learn and strong capacity to understand issues
  • Teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven, assertive individual and good multitasking skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • A degree in a relevant discipline such as economics or law would be a distinct advantage

Key Functions of the role: 

  • Working closely with the Director, General Services on issues affecting Brokers Ireland Members and the Insurance Industry
  • Carry out research and draft reports as required
  • Minuting Meetings
  • Dealing with Brokers’ queries
  • Answering phones
  • Maintaining and updating databases/websites
  • General ad hoc office duties

The successful applicant will be subject to a six-month probationary period.
