Personal Lines Account Handler

PJ Fitzgerald Insurance are a general insurance brokerage in Kinsale and we have been continuously growing since opening in 1986.  We are an innovative business with a number of specialized markets and group schemes plus a developing and expanding commercial and personal lines business.  Due to our continued growth we have the following positions available.

Job Specification:

We have a vacancy within our office for a Personal Lines Account Handler to assist us in managing our existing and new business accounts.

Key responsibilities:

• Issuing renewal documentation to clients and following up to ensure retention of the account
• Managing a portfolio of existing Personal Lines clients
• Renew all types of Personal Lines Policies including Private Motor, Home and Commercial Vehicles
• Cross selling to connected commercial lines policies as well as some new business development
• Issuing of new business quotations
• Servicing of accounts including mid-term alterations, handling of claims etc
• Dealing with client queries and providing excellent levels of service to our clients
• Adhering to all compliance requirements

Experience

• Preferred experience would include 2/3 years working in a Personal Lines role within an insurance brokerage
• Have developed a strong insight into business’s ways of working and their needs
• To have the ability and experience to identify business opportunities
• APA Personal Lines
• RELAY broker system experience
