Some pictures above of MyBrokers Ireland first ever Corporate Volunteer Day which took place in Stewarts Care facility in Dublin on Thursday 23 August.
A huge thank you to all of our Broker colleagues who came out in force to support this really worthwhile and fun day which saw Brokers get ‘stuck-in’ into some genuinely hard work with great enthusiasm. A special thanks goes to Wealth Options for their valued support of the day.
Stewarts Care provide community-based services to people with intellectual and physical disabilities and they will open their doors to allow us to get involved with practical work on their premises such as undertaking maintenance, refurbishment, painting & gardening. These tasks will be great fun and extremely worthwhile and are a good introduction to those of our members who might be new to volunteering.
Why Get involved?

To have fun- Volunteering is a relaxed, non-pressurised and creative alternative to an ordinary work day and is memorable and innovative in a way that is rewarding and motivating. Opportunity to polish up your egg and spoon and wheelbarrow racing skills as a sports day will form part of this day out!
To make a difference– Volunteering will impact stewarts Care in a way that changes their lives for the better and your contribution will help improve the lives of the residents and day users of the care centre
To Learn something new– Volunteering provides a great opportunity to learn new skills and enhance existing ones
To Inspire others- Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire your colleagues, Stewarts Care staff and service users
To Discover Hidden talents– Volunteering gives access to new experiences, approaches and ways of interacting with others and you may discover a new passion or develop a long-term interest in a worthy cause.
To Improve Personal health- Volunteers often report feelings of improved wellbeing and self-esteem. You will feel valued, motivated and re-energised after the day out
To Build new relationships- Volunteers have a valuable opportunity to meet and form relationships with Community workers, service users and all people who will benefit from your volunteering efforts
To Strengthen existing relationships– Volunteering with a work colleague and/or peers allows you to connect in a new, fun way and build relationships with new connections within the industry.
