Compliance Update – Website Reviews

Tue Jan 11 2022

At the Central Bank’s intermediary virtual meeting,  it was indicated that in 2022, the Central Bank will be reviewing intermediary websites to ensure that all intermediaries have made available on their website, for consumers, a summary of “any fee, commission, other reward or remuneration paid or provided” to them which they have agreed with their product producers as required by Provision 4.58A of the Consumer Protection.    Please find here guidance sent to members on the requirements previously.

It was also indicated that when the Central Bank are reviewing intermediary websites, they would take the opportunity to review the full website so it is important to ensure that your website is fully up to date and compliant.   The Brokers Ireland Compliance team offer a review facility of members websites, so if you would like a review to be carried out, please forward your website details to compliance@brokersireland.ie
