Empowering Women In Financial Services

A unique Financial Services conference is taking place in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise on Thursday 12th September 2019.
The conference is the brainchild of Aileen Delaney, Operations Director at SYS Wealth and Financial Planners and is being organised to bring women together from across the financial services and banking environments to network, celebrate achievements and just be themselves on the day.
The day will include discussions on mental health, issues that women face in the Financial Services workplace and the challenges that women face in today’s busy world.
This will be alongside traditional segments on areas such as Financial Services products and services; motivational themes and a panel discussions with top class speakers.
In addition to these segments, the event also has a fashion show with top brands along with afternoon tea before closing with the final panel session of the day which has key women on stage sharing their experiences in leading and working in today’s challenging environment.
When asked about the conference Aileen responded ‘As a member of Network Ireland for past 7 years, I have benefited enormously both personally and professionally and enjoyed the positivity that national events such as International Women’s Day & the National Awards Conference has given me’.
‘Since joining the financial services in 2012 I always found the majority of events in that sector to be male dominated and in light of that, I thought how great it would be to have an event in this sector just for women’.
Explaining what she wanted to achieve at this all female conference, Aileen went on to say that she wants all women to feel comfortable on the day, to learn from the experiences being shared on stage, to network in a welcoming environment and for all the women attending to celebrate their achievements and simply #BeYou, which will be the hashtag used for the event’.
