IIPM – Inaugural Annual Conference
Fri Nov 1 2019

The IIPM invite you to attend our inaugural Annual Conference which will be taking place at Griffith College Dublin, on Friday 15 November. We will be presenting our exciting new educational structure and give an overview of our new educational partner – Griffith College Dublin. We will also host informative presentations and a panel discussion on ‘The Evolving Regulatory Framework’ here in Ireland, with further details available below. This is particularly timely given the recent Auto-Enrolment announcements. Attendees at the event may claim 2 hours of CPD in the Pensions & Investment categories.
Speakers on the day will include:
- Brendan Kennedy – Pensions Authority
- Sarah McCague – Arthur Cox, APLI
- James R Kehoe – Independent Trustee
- Richie Kelly – LGIM
- John Lynch – LCP
Updated Educational Framework
With the increasing requirement for formal education amongst scheme trustees and their advisers, the Institute (in consultation with our new educational partners Griffith College) have been reviewing our flagship courses:
- Diploma in Pensions Management and Policy (leading to AIIPM)
and
- Law and Governance for Trustees (leading to QPT)
It is intended that these courses will re-commence in 2020 and we will be briefing delegates on the content and application process at the Conference.
‘The Evolving Regulatory Framework’
The pensions’ landscape in Ireland is due to undergo a significant transformation in the next few years. Internal considerations (such as auto-enrolment) are colliding with external forces (such as incoming EU Directives), ensuring that pension scheme stakeholders must take a flexible and agile approach to planning for the future.
With that in mind, the IIPM are hosting presentations and a panel discussion with key stakeholders who, whilst all having different perspectives, share the common goal of helping
Irish retirement savers provide for their retirement. Our contributors will speak on the regulatory, trustee proposition, and investment perspectives of these challenges before joining together for a panel discussion and Q&A session with the audience.
Registration: Advance booking is essential
Attendance is free for anybody associated with Brokers Ireland.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
‘On the 30th anniversary of the IIPM we continue to benefit from the foresight and service of the founders and those who have provided their experience to Council since 1989. The original aims of promoting education and professional standards continue to be as important today as they were then and we look forward to supporting our members and the pensions industry into the future’
Elma Fox, President.
