The Insurance Charities Virtual Life Skills & Positive Health Programmes
Tue Jan 12 2021

Following on from positive feedback received last autumn, The Insurance Charites are once again partnering with mental health organisation Aware, to offer a second fully funded positive mental health programme. The programme based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is available exclusively through the partnership to those working in the Irish insurance industry, who are experiencing mild depression, stress and/or anxiety.
The Virtual Life Skills Programme has been designed to help people learn more about how they think and how this influences their actions. Committing fully to the Virtual Life Skills Programme, could mark the start of a brand-new chapter for those participating. The programme will also help attendees to build resilience and equip them with the knowledge and tools to deal with life challenges.
The programme is compiled of eight modules delivered over six weeks, and the sessions will be delivered by Zoom in a relaxed way by a trained professional and each session lasts an hour and a half.
There will be two programmes available; one via lunchtime sessions and the other taking place in the evenings.
Registration opens on 25 January, and both programmes will begin in mid-February.
The Insurance Charites are keen to establish a partnership in Ireland to offer the Irish insurance community extra practical support where needed, and so this initiative launched at the end of last year has come at a particularly pertinent time.
Finally, the Learning Fund which was previously mentioned is available to those working in financial planning or insurance is coming to an end on 31st January. It’s for those in Ireland who have been made redundant, furloughed or are worried about their future as a result of Covid 19. Further details can be found here.
