Thematic Inspection on the Ongoing Suitability of Long-Term Life Assurance Products

The Central Bank have advised that the Life and Health Insurance Supervision Team in the Consumer Protection Directorate are currently undertaking a thematic inspection on the Ongoing Suitability of Long-Term Life Assurance Products. For the purposes of conducting this thematic inspection, the Central Bank is focusing on Single Premium Unit Linked Investment Products. They have advised that they have issued an information request to a sample of intermediaries (circa 50) on Friday the 9th of September. The Excel information request must be completed by COB on the 23rd of September.
