UK Broker Aston Lark acquires Robertson Low

UK Insurance Broker Aston Lark has completed its first international move with the acquisition of Robertson Low Insurances Ltd in Ireland (subject to regulatory approval by the Central Bank of Ireland).
Among Ireland’s largest independent insurance brokerages, Robertson Low was the first fully licenced Lloyd’s broker in Ireland. Commenting on the acquisition, Managing Director, Andrew Low, has outlined the potential it brings for growth to the Irish business:
“Aston Lark will add significant value to our product portfolio and to the scale of our business for the benefit of our Irish brokers panel. Robertson Low will further develop its product offering and we are keen to maintain growth through both organic and targeted acquisition strategies. Aston Lark has offices throughout the UK and is the 5th largest Chartered Insurance Broker in the UK market, writing over £330m of gross premium and employing over 650 staff.
