Saturday 20^th July 2019 saw over 120 General and Financial Broker, along with friends and family, complete the 10^th annual MyBrokers Ireland Climb of Croagh Patrick. The Climb began in 2010 in honour of Dave McDermott, Hastings Insurance who sadly passed away in 2009. The 10^th anniversary of this event was met with a fantastic turnout from Brokers Ireland members from all over the country.

Joining those climbing was Justin McDermott of Jigsaw, Ireland Youth Mental Health charity, and the MyBrokers Ireland charity partner for 2019. Justin was excited to be a part of this years’ event and raced to the top of the reek with enthusiasm and good humour. All funds raised from the Climb went directly to Jigsaw who provide vital supports to young people with mental health challenges.

There With Bells On

Also racing to the summit of Croagh Patrick were the Mayor of Galway Cllr. Mike Cubbard, Dermot Murray, CEO of the Insurance Institute, Brian Curtis, President of the Insurance Institute, Jim Molloy, President of Insurance Institute of Galway, Ruth McArthur, President of Insurance Institute of Dublin and Julie Jennings, President of Insurance Institute of Sligo.  All completed The Climb in full chain of office regalia and did the Insurance Institute proud.

Denis O’Leary along with Dominic Sheridan and Kate Tobin from FBD and their partners attended in great spirits and it was a pleasure to have them there.
