Barry Robinson (BDO Ireland) and Richard Cameron-Williams (BDO UK) are forensic accountants experienced in advising on business interruption claims preparation. They will provide an overview of the issues faced by businesses following recent judgements in the Irish and UK Courts relating to Covid-19 and Business Interruption, and will outline practical steps that can be taken by businesses and brokers when preparing and calculating business interruption claims.

About the Speakers                                                                                                                                                                             

Barry leads BDO’s Forensic Services team in Ireland and has specialised in the area of forensic accounting and investigations since 2001.

He joined BDO in 2019 and is one of Ireland’s most  experienced forensic accountants. He has worked on some of the most complex and high-profile forensic cases in Ireland. He has given evidence  in Court and provided his expert opinions at mediation

 

Richard specialises in the review and measurement of complex financial losses of various scopes and sizes for legal professionals and insurers in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States.

In the litigation arena, Richard has acted as an independent accounting expert or lead on cases involving loss of profits, breach of contract, public procurement disputes, business valuation, fraud investigation and subrogation, and has given evidence in the High Court in London and Manchester.

Richard also has extensive experience of handling complex business interruption claims around the world across a wide range of industry sectors.
