Webinar Details:

Brokers Ireland is delighted to extend our invitation to you for an upcoming webinar on the topic of “Enhancing Cyber Risk Management through Data Evaluation and Categorisation.” This informative session will take place on Wednesday, 28 June at 11:00 and will be presented by Dr Barry Sheehan, Lecturer in Risk & Finance at University of Limerick.
Our webinar aims to delve into the existing academic and industry literature on cybersecurity and cyber risk management, with a specific focus on data availability. Through a meticulous analysis of 5,219 peer-reviewed studies, UL have identified 79 unique datasets that provide invaluable insights into this critical field. However, reseachers have also uncovered a pressing concern – the lack of accessible data on cyber risk, which poses a significant challenge to stakeholders involved in addressing this issue. Specifically, the absence of open databases hampers collective efforts to effectively comprehend, measure, and manage cyber risks.

During the webinar, Barry will present their findings from the data evaluation and categorisation process, shedding light on the importance of available data for cybersecurity researchers and the insurance industry. The comprehensive analysis and classification of cyber risk data will provide vital support to these stakeholders in their ongoing endeavors to tackle and mitigate cyber risks.

We encourage you to join us on Wednesday, 28 June at 11:00 to participate in this thought-provoking session.

CPD will be applied for and will be subject to approval by the relevant educational bodies.
