The Personal Injuries Guidelines set new guideline levels for personal injury compensation awards in Ireland.
PIAB is the independent statutory body which fairly assesses claims. From the commencement date of April 24, PIAB has been assessing personal injury cases in line with the new Guidelines. Maurice Priestley will update the webinar on PIAB’s role, the background to the new Personal Injuries Guidelines and the general reform process in the sector. Peter O’Brien will provide briefing on how assessments take place under the Guidelines.
Maurice Priestley, Director of Operations
Maurice has been Director of Operations of PIAB since 2004, with responsibility for the delivery of assessments for all personal injury claims by the Board, in addition to being part of the Executive Management Team with responsibility for developing the strategic development of the organisation.
Peter O’Brien, Operations Manager
Peter has been a Manager in the Operations area in PIAB since the organisation’s establishment, and has specifically been involved in the planning, implementation and training re the new Personal Injuries Guidelines.
